Last week we hung out at Generation Records for their Record Store Day festivities. The store had a great lineup including live performances from Black Wine, Cymbals Eat Guitars and The Budos Band along with DJ Sets from Andrew WK and The Obits. Unfortunately, Walter Schreifels had to cancel due to the Iceland volcano shutting down many flights from overseas. I got their 15 minutes after the store opened only to wait on a line of 40 plus people to get some of the exclusive releases. Luckily, I was able to pick up some 7 inches from Deftones, Fucked Up, Hot Water Music and Against Me!.

Cool installation at Area Fifty One Fifty Skatepark in Holland by Jurjen Semeijn. The furniture looks neat though I can’t vouch for how comfortable sitting on them might be.

Didn’t realize that we needed a store dedicated to being “Your Big Lebowski Stop” until this past weekend. Complete with a dude (not The Dude) wearing a robe to run the store.
