Here is the album cover we recently finished for Bright & Early‘s debut EP Louder Than Words. We also created a few shirt designs for the guys that we will be posting soon. You can check out a higher res version of the artwork on AbsolutePunk.net.

The other day while driving home from a short stay in Connecticut we stopped in a Goodwill store and everything was pretty standard. I picked up old records from Kiss, Cheap Trick, Bowie and The Cars for a buck each but then I went to the check out counter and saw these creepy trolls for sale that were apparently vintage items from Norway. I don’t imagine these selling anytime soon…

Plus they brought back memories of Troll 2…

Really neat way to listen to some snippets from the new Arcade Fire 12″ single. Spin it!
The skatepark at Chelsea Piers in NYC is open and it looks like a damn good time. Check out some video footage of the opening via Shred or Die.
Seeing lots of David Lynch today on the internet including the new Dior short film / commercial he directed titled “Lady Blue Shanghai” and MC Chris’s new song about Twin Peaks set to a video that sums up the show (after the jump). If you can get past his high pitched voice it will make you want to go rewatch Twin Peaks again. ABC’s new show Happy Town is trying to fill the Twin Peaks void but so far it’s just not cutting it.

Small Brown Bike played their first show in 7 or 8 years the other night at the Cake Shop in NYC. The basement of the Cake Shop was so hot that everyone walking out appeared as if they had just got out of a pool, it was gross times ten but all in all a good time.
I was lucky to catch the Jonsi tour at Terminal 5 in New York City the other night. I wasn’t sure how his performance would stack up without the rest of Sigur Ros but it definitely exceeded expectations as it was on par with even the best Sigor Ros performances. While in New York he performed on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, which sounds beautiful, you can check the video below. Definitely check out the live show if you can to see the elaborate stage set up he has prepared for the tour.
